Like every year, the Castle of Caneva‘s medieval feast, only a few minutes away from our farmhouse Le Favole, comes back.

This event exalts the culture, the history and wine and food of our territory along with live music, dancing evenings and scenes of historical reenactment, typical of that period.

This event now in its 54th edition, includes two festivity week-ends, 6th to 9th and from 14th to 16th July 2017.

From the first edition of the 21st June 1964, which lasted only a Sunday afternoon, now the festivity includes a rich two-week program in the month of July.

From 6th to 9th July 2017, the castle of Caneva comes alive!

On Sunday 9th July 2017 we go to the heart of the medieval time reenactment: performances of typical celebrations of the time, featuring costumes of ladies, knights and artisans.

The medieval journey continues with the “Palio dei Borghi” or the “Prize of the Villages”, with strength and ability competitions, jugglers and witches shows and sword fights.

The most awaited moment arrives at night: the “fire of the fortress” (the burning of the castle) and fire games.

The medieval journey will then continue the following weekend.

During the entire event, there are spectacles and games for children.

A free shuttle bus from the square of Caneva to the castle, and back, is available for the duration of the event.
