What you can do this Christmas 2016 in Sacile and surroundings?

From November 25^th 2016 till January 8^th 2017, “Waiting for Christmas”takes place in Sacile.  You can find Advent markets, food and wine markets, concerts and events every weekend until Christmas in the beautiful town. A lot of fun and entertainment is guaranteed for children, too. Many shows and animations are, in fact, for the little ones.

On December 5^th 2016, there will be the event Arrival of Santa Claus. Will he bring some gifts?

Saturday December 10^th 2016 we start getting into the Christmas spirit with the Christmas Choral concert at 9 p.m. in the Cathedral of St. Nicolò.

Sacile has also a theatre that’s suitable for different kinds of shows. On Tuesday December 13^th 2016, the Nutcracker theatrical dance takes place; a performance with a magic Christmas feeling.

Less than an hour away, you can reach the Mt. Piancavallo and find whitened landscapes from the snow and enjoy a unique and emotional atmosphere.

In December, the ski resorts open in Piancavallo and in the other mountains of our territory.

From our farmhouse, in less than an hour, you will be able to go skiing, go for walks and participate at hikes and day trips organized by nature guides. Furthermore, on December 4^th  2016, the winter season of the ice ring Palaghiaccio of Piancavallo resumes, so you can enjoy ice skating

Christmas is of course the period of nativity scenes. But have you ever seen them made with sand? From December 8^th 2016, in the seaside resorts of Lignano Sabbiadoro and Jesolo, in just one hour from our farmhouse, you will admire fabulous sand works dedicated to Christmas. In Lignano, the exhibition will be open until January 29^th2017, while in Jesolo, until  February 12^th 2017.

Even here there will be Christmas markets with lots of food and wine and crafts products.

For art lovers, we recommend the exhibition “The Stories of Impressionism” in Treviso, at the Museum of Santa Caterina in Piazzetta Mario Botter 1.

120 works, including paintings, photographs and engravings on wood of the leading exponents of this artistic movement, including Degas, Delacroix, Millet, Renoir, Manet, Cezanne, Van Gogh and Carot. The exhibition will be open until April 17^th 2017.
